I want to figure out if Hulu adds new Daily Show episodes at a specific time each weekday. It's 3:18 A.M. right now, and there's still no new episode....

Updates:
3:25 A.M., still no episode.
3:30 A.M., still no episode.
3:45 A.M., still no episode.
4:10 A.M., still no episode.
4:20 A.M., still no episode.
4:39 A.M., new episode up!

Highlights on MLB.com never start in a logical way.  You'll click on the highlights, and the website will be like: "So...you want to see the walk-off, game-winning hit, huh?  Well here's a sacrifice fly from the 6th inning."

I un-muted one additional person on Twitter, so the number of people I effectively follow now is 4.

Saturday, September 26, 2015

I'm still just following 38 accounts on Twitter.  I haven't gone through much withdrawal or anything like that.

Friday, September 25, 2015

I wonder if there's a way to keep MLB.tv from lagging so damn much?

Today's AM New York cover is very movie-esque.  The headlines are just: "Pope Arrives in NYC Today" and "Remember Yogi."

So I can just imagine Leslie Nielsen seeing that headline and coming to a stunning realization: 'What? The Pope is in town?' And then there's some wacky assassination plot.

"Bimonthly" can describe something that either happens twice a month, OR once every two months.  What a shitty word.

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

I'll just try logging off Twitter for a while, and see how that goes.

Whenever Michael Douglas is in a movie, and he's not the bad guy, it's really confusing.

Sunday, September 20, 2015

Maybe instead of checking Twitter multiple times a day, I can just, like play a movie.

I'm following 44 people today.  What I don't want to happen is to follow so few people that an hour or two will go by without any tweets.  And then I get anxious and start visiting another site to get some stimulation.  The amount of information that comes in via Twitter has to be light, but kind of steady at the same time.

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

I've following just 43 accounts on Twitter now. That feels right around the minimum.  It's weird how there were two Monday Night Football games, but I don't see any gut reactions to the games in my feed.

I think @FishbowlNY might be a useful account to start following again in the future, but then I see tweets such as"@People magazine celebrates Jennifer Lawrence's compulsive photobombing in new ad," and it's just like...God damn, why am I letting this stuff interrupt my brain?"

It's so hard to figure out when TV shows air new episodes.  For example, I was trying to figure out the schedule for Conan, and really the best option seems to be checking the schedule page on Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Conan_episodes_(2015)

It not only tells you all the guests for this week, but it also shows you who every single guest was for 2015, and what days each episode aired.  The "Team Coco" website also has a schedule page, but it doesn't really indicate whether the episodes that week are new.

I was following Digg Video for a while, but it's harder to know what a video is like when there's no image accompanying the tweet. The actual Digg Video page has an image with each description:  http://digg.com/video.  Now I'm just following 59 people on Twitter.

Saturday, September 12, 2015

I'm following Alex Weprin again, but unfollowed Bill Simmons on Twitter.  The total is down to 60.

Thursday, September 10, 2015

I was watching the second episode of Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  He had Scarlett Johansson on as a guest, and they were just talking about how she'd moved to Paris, and how it was such a beautiful city and all that.  And I thought, "Well, that was a good attempt for a show," and turned it off.

Tuesday, September 8, 2015

I'm up to following 65 people on Twitter.  Is that higher than a week ago?

Monday, September 7, 2015

That Kingsman movie was kind of crazy and not very good.  I want to see the Honest Trailers summary, just to get a second opinion about some of the sequences.

This is the best news article I've read all week: http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2015/09/what_channel_is_the_yankees-tampa_bay_rays_game_on.html

It's titled: "What channel is the Yankees-Tampa Bay Rays game on?"  And it tells you the game is on Fox Sports 1.  Thank you, NJ.com.

I went a few days without checking Digg, but then I checked it again and thought, "Eh, this ain't so bad."  So I'll try cutting off Twitter for a few days and see how that feels.  If given one choice, I'd keep the RedLetterMedia account in my feed....everyone else is hit-and-miss most of the time.  (Heck, even with regards to RedLetterMedia I'm more a fan of Half in the Bag and usually skip any of the "wheel" stuff.)  I like MediaGazer, but the fact is I only click a small percentage of their Twitter links.  There's a story today on MediaGazer.com about Fusion overhauling its TV station which is kinda "meh."  Like, why should I care about Fusion?  But there's another story about  a coalition of rights groups calling on Twitter to reverse the ban on Politwoops.  That's probably worth reading.

Mr. Robot looks like a real boring show.

Girl:  If you're sick, I'll be there for you.
Guy:  I have a confession to make....I'm not actually sick.
Girl:  You asshole. Never speak to me again!
Guy:  No, wait, you don't understand.  I have to tell you something.  There's a kid who's hacking me.
Girl:  What?
Insert boring dialogue
Guy:  He's breaking the law.  We have to stop him.
Insert more boring dialogue.
Guy: (Looking up at the restaurant's facade.)  We had some good times here, didn't we?

Everything just moves so slowly and all the dialogue is portentous.  Either start talking like real people or shut up already.  I can't believe that these two characters would've EVER had a good time at a restaurant together.

I guess it's possible I'll wind up watching an episode and it'll contain a good scene, but that day wasn't yesterday.

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

I did it! I went the whole day without checking Digg.  Fortunately, if I need a fix, there's an article saved in my bookmarks folder about the history of wingdings, which I found from a link on there.
