Day 24

1:00 A.M.

1,188 chunks left to go.  It's after midnight, and I haven't checked Wreddit or Twitter or any other sites on the internet yet.  If my goal had been to go one day without checking the internet, then I definitely would've checked Wreddit right after midnight.  But I'm trying to go five days without checking the internet, and so there wasn't much of a temptation to check Wreddit once Monday turned into Tuesday.  Well, technically it's been less than 24 hours, since I was checking the internet after1:00 A.M. last night, but I can just pretend that it's been a day.  The chunks will reach 0 by 4:00 A.M. Saturday morning, at which point I'll have gone five days without checking the internet.  I've just got to focus on one chunk at a time.  It's easy to avoid checking the internet for a 5-minute chunk.  Just focus on one chunk at a time.

1:05 A.M.

1:20 A.M.

I weigh 212.0 pounds in my short and t-shirt right now.  I don't think I took a shit today, so I could drink a Bang energy drink tomorrow and that would probably make me take a shit.  I might even get under 210.0 pounds.  I did buy a pack of Peanut Butter Cups from the gas station earlier tonight and a 2-liter bottle of Diet Coke.  So there was definitely some junk food on the menu, but I didn't go ham.  I didn't buy PB Stix and a can of Pringles like last time.

1,173 chunks to go.  I weigh 212.2 pounds in my shorts and t-shirt right now.

2:20 A.M.

I've got to fall asleep, or I've got to empty my brain to the point where I can listen to music.  But I'm not checking the internet.  I've got YouTube videos playing right now and there's not any buffering right now.  Maybe I'll try some old crossword puzzles.

2:35 A.M.

Well I did one crossword puzzle and now I feel too tired to do more crossword puzzles.  There's no better feeling than when you're so tired that you know you can fall down and fall asleep right away.  And there's no worse feeling than when you're tired but you know there's no way you're going to fall asleep.  I'm a middle area right now.  I don't feel to caffeinated, and it seems like I should fall asleep soon, but my body is still kind of tense.  Maybe I'll drink some milk.  That's what little kids drink when they want to fall asleep.

Okay, regular Diet Coke clearly fucks up my sleep pattern, but I don't think Coke Zero messes up my sleep pattern.  I've bought some of those 2-liter bottles of Coke Zero and never had much trouble falling asleep later in the night, even when I started drinking in the evening.  But I drank regular Diet Coke last night and was just lying in bed unable to fall asleep, even though I was physically tired.  I only got about three hours of sleep.
